Mr. Bob Cortner
Bob Cortner purchased Moore Funeral Home in 1966 from Mrs. Watson Moore and changed the name to Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Bob attended Kennedy School of Mortuary Science where he obtained his funeral director and embalmer’s license.
1966 was a momentous year for Bob. Besides purchasing the funeral home, he was married to June Gentry. They have one son, Jim who is also a Funeral Director and Embalmer. Jim works with his dad at the funeral home.

Jim Cortner was born and raised in Winchester, Tennessee. Jim graduated Franklin County High School and Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Services in Atlanta, Georgia and obtained his degree in funeral services. He is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer.
Jim is a member of the Winchester Masonic Lodge where he is a 32nd degree Mast Mason and Shriner. He and his wife, Holly have one son, Robert and they live in Winchester. They are members at the Winchester Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Casey Jackson, CCO
Funeral Director, Certified Crematory Operator, Notary
Casey brings several years of local funeral home experience to the families that we serve. He is a graduate of Franklin County High School, Motlow State Community College and Pittsburg Institute of Mortuary Science.
Casey lives in Winchester with his wife Jennifer and their two daughters Adalynn & Alanna. He is the son of Lisa (Mark) Limbaugh and Curtis Jackson and the grandson of Bill and Mildress Harris.
Casey serves on the Winchester Development Program as Board Member, The Winchester Design Review Committee, the Franklin County Soccer Association as the referee administrator and was the head soccer coach for Franklin County High School. He enjoys family, refereeing soccer and basketball, hunting and the outdoors.
Jennifer Jackson, CCO
Funeral Director/Embalmer, Certified Crematory Operator, Notary
Jennifer adds great value to our families by ways of years of local service in the funeral industry. She is a graduate of Franklin County High School and John A. Gupton Mortuary College.
Jennifer lives in Winchester with husband Casey and their two daughters Adalynn & Alanna. She is the daughter of Joretta Goins and Donald (Karen) Jones and the granddaughter of Elmer and Edna Goins and Kenneth and Marlene Jones.
Jennifer serves as Board Member of the Franklin County Raise A Reader program.
Family Services Counselor, Apprentice Funeral Director, Franklin Memorial Gardens Manager, Certified Celebrant
Scot is very excited to serve our families with a specialized focus on Cemetery and Monuments. He takes great pride in helping families through very difficult times. Scot joined the Moore-Cortner family in 2015 and is also licensed insurance agent for the State of Tennessee.
Scot is a native of Franklin County and attended Huntland High School. He and his wife of 19 years, Erica, and son, Weber live in Winchester. Scot enjoys playing golf, reading and attending church at Kings Cross in Tullahoma.
Rev. Todd Coutta
Support Staff, Chaplain, Certified Celebrant
Reverend Todd Coutta is very proud to serve our families as Support Staff and Chaplain and began his career here in 1994. Todd resides in Winchester and is thankful for his wife, Alanna and daughters, Susie and Brianna, step-son, Brandon and twin granddaughters, Savannah and Makayla.
Todd enjoys helping people, fishing, kayaking, shooting and flying drones. He is a board certified Pastoral Counselor and always counts it is a privilege to chat with the kinds of folks he encounters on a daily basis.
Suzanne is the Hostess (not licensed) at our Jennings Moore-Cortner Funeral Home in Lynchburg, TN. She attended school at Moore-County High School and enjoyed 28 years of working at Harlan’s Flowers in Lynchburg. Suzanne is proud to call Moore County home and attends church at Liberty Hill Church of Christ. She is married to Clay Fanning. Together they have two children (Lacey Ivey and Clint Fanning) and grandchildren.
Support Staff (non-licensed)
Mark is proud to serve as a greeter for the families of our Jennings-Moore-Cortner location. He is a Lynchburg resident and also serves as Fire Chief for the Metro Moore County Fire Department.
He is married to Lisa Neal and they have a daughter named Kari who is married to Trey Bell and a son named Devin. Mark and Lisa attend church at Marble Plains Baptist Church and enjoy traveling and spending time with their grandchildren; Gavin Donegan, Ryker Bell and Averlee Bell.
Marie is proud to serve as Hostess for our Jennings-Moore-Cortner Funeral Home location in Lynchburg, TN. Marie has been a part of the Moore-Cortner family since 2003. Marie went to Lincoln County High School. She attends church at Marble Plains Baptist and is widely known as an accomplished cook in the Lynchburg area.
Marie lives in Lynchburg with her husband Horace and have two daughters and several grandchildren
